Dana Biosphere Reserve is the largest nature reserve in Jordan, spanning a remarkable variety of landscapes from Mediterranean forests to rocky cliffs and sandy deserts. It covers four different bio-geographical zones, which house over 800 plant species, 215 bird species, and 38 mammal species, including endangered species such as the Syrian Serin and the Nubian Ibex. The reserve's history is rich with ancient archaeological sites and the traditional lifestyles of local Bedouin tribes. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including extensive hiking trails that meander through the reserve's stunning scenery, offering breathtaking views and remarkable encounters with its flora and fauna.
